The Peddars Way is a 46-mile National Trail from Knettishall Heath near Thetford to Holme-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk coast, UK. mYminiBreak bases the finish at Holme-next-the-Sea, with Hunstanton/Heacham and Holt woodland as linked North Norfolk stay-overs for walkers, dogs, campervans and groups.

Walk 46 miles of Roman road through Norfolk, UK and finish where the trail hits the sea. The Peddars Way is one of England’s gentlest National Trails: wide tracks, big skies, and a clear end line at Holme-next-the-Sea. mYminiBreak puts dog-friendly camping, glamping and van pitches on that finish line, so the last step of the walk can be the first step onto your pitch.
The southern start remains Knettishall Heath in the Brecks. Our live bases for the coast finish and North Norfolk staging are Holme-next-the-Sea, Hunstanton/Heacham, and Holt woodland. Book the finish first, then work the stages to suit your pace.
Why base the Peddars Way finish at Holme

Holme-next-the-Sea is not a random overnight stop. It is the official northern terminus of the Peddars Way and the junction with the Norfolk Coast Path. From the mYminiBreak Holme site you can:
- Step onto the Peddars Way or Coast Path without driving first
- Walk east through Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve toward the Seahenge foreshore
- Reach the White Horse Holme pub and bakery on foot for the evening after a long stage
- Keep dogs with you on site and on the coast path (seasonal beach rules still apply on parts of Holme Beach May to September)

Operator note: Holme is the product that matches the trail end. Hunstanton/Heacham covers cliff, Wash views and RSPB Snettisham day walks. Holt covers woodland rest days and the Poppy Line. We no longer take live bookings at a Thetford Forest site; the trail still starts in the Brecks, and North Norfolk is where we host the stay-over.

How walkers usually use the three bases

| Plan | How it works |
|---|---|
| Classic finish | Walk south to north. Last night (or last two) at Holme. Optional recovery night Hunstanton. |
| Coast-first reverse | Start at Holme, walk inland. Base Holme night zero, then stages toward the Brecks. |
| Van and day stages | Keep a campervan at Holme or Hunstanton; taxi or bus for linear days; return to the same pitch. |
| Rest day in the woods | After finishing, transfer to Holt for quiet woodland nights and Holt market town walks. |
What is on the doorstep at the finish

- Holme Dunes NNR, waders, butterflies, big skies
- Seahenge foreshore, Bronze Age site location on the Coast Path east of the village (timbers at Lynn Museum)
- White Horse Holme, pub and bakery for walkers who have earned a proper meal
- RSPB Titchwell, short hop east along the coast for marsh harriers and avocets
- Norfolk Coast Path, keep walking toward Thornham, Brancaster and Wells if 46 miles was not enough

Practical notes for Peddars Way stay-overs

- Groups: Holme has group-friendly pitch options for walking parties finishing together.
- Authority route info: Always check the official Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path National Trail pages for waymarking and seasonal notices.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I stay at the end of the Peddars Way?
Holme-next-the-Sea is the trail terminus. mYminiBreak Holme puts camping, glamping and van pitches on that finish. Hunstanton/Heacham works as a linked coast base a short hop away.
Can I stay at mYminiBreak with a dog on the Peddars Way?
Yes. All live mYminiBreak bases are dog-friendly. Keep dogs under control near livestock on the trail and follow seasonal beach rules at Holme.
Do you still have a Thetford Forest campsite for the start?
No live Thetford Forest bookings at present. The trail still starts at Knettishall Heath in the Brecks. We host the North Norfolk finish and stay-overs at Holme, Hunstanton/Heacham and Holt.
Is Holme suitable for campervans after the walk?
Yes. Holme offers campervan and motorhome pitches so you can leave the van on site, walk the last stages, and sleep at the coast without another transfer.
How far is the White Horse from the trail finish?
The White Horse Holme pub and bakery sit in the village near the Peddars Way and Coast Path junction, an easy walk from the Holme site after you drop your pack.
