mYminiBreak operates through Norfolk Camping CIC — an active exempt organisation under the Caravan Sites Act 1960. Members of the Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC), Caravan and Motorhome Club (CAMC), The Van Club, and Motor Caravanners’ Club can access all four mYminiBreak sites across Norfolk using their existing club membership.
If you carry a club card — CAMC, CCC, The Van Club, or Motor Caravanners’ Club — you already have more options in Norfolk than most people realise. mYminiBreak’s four sites are accessible to club members through the Norfolk Camping CIC exempt organisation structure, and the touring landscape they give you access to is among the most varied in England.
Four sites. North Norfolk coast, heathland nature reserve, woodland, and the UK’s largest lowland forest. All dog-friendly. All with electrical hookup.
Norfolk Camping CIC and Club Member Access
Norfolk Camping CIC is registered as an exempt organisation under the Caravan Sites Act 1960 — a legal structure that allows the organisation to admit members and their guests to its certified sites without the standard caravan site licence requirements that apply to commercial operators.
Under Paragraph 4 (the Temporary Holiday Sites provision) of the Act, exempt organisations may extend reciprocal or temporary membership to holders of cards from other recognised camping and caravanning clubs — including CAMC, CCC, The Van Club, and Motor Caravanners’ Club. This means existing club members can access mYminiBreak sites by showing their current club card.
How it works in practice
- Bring your current, valid club membership card (CAMC, CCC, The Van Club, or Motor Caravanners’ Club)
- Present it on arrival at any mYminiBreak site
- You will be issued a temporary associate membership of Norfolk Camping CIC for the duration of your stay
- No additional membership fee is required for temporary access
For full annual membership of Norfolk Camping CIC — including access to rally-format events and the full certified site network — contact us directly through the booking site.
Why Norfolk for Club Members?
Norfolk is one of England’s most underrated touring counties. The roads between the coast and the forest are genuinely quiet. The distances between sites of interest are short. The landscape is flat enough to make caravanning and motorhoming straightforward without the gradient anxiety that the Lakes or the Peak District can introduce on a long rig.
The touring route that takes in Hunstanton, Holme-next-the-Sea, the coast road through Titchwell and Brancaster, then south to Thetford covers more genuine variety — coast, saltmarsh, heathland, lowland forest — than most British touring routes twice the distance. mYminiBreak’s four sites are positioned to allow a staged tour of the county:
- Stage 1: Hunstanton coastal site — North Norfolk coast, The Wash, RSPB Snettisham, Sandringham
- Stage 2: Holme-next-the-Sea — nature reserve edge, King Charles III Coast Path, Wild Ken Hill
- Stage 3: Holt Woodland — inland North Norfolk, Sheringham Park, the steam railway, Byfords
- Stage 4: Thetford — UK’s largest lowland forest, Go Ape, Forest Live concerts, Peddars Way
The Four Sites in Detail
Site 1: Hunstanton — The Sunset Coast
The Hunstanton site sits on the West Norfolk coast — the only west-facing coast in East Anglia, which means proper sunsets over The Wash. The pitches are level, hookup is standard, and the site is dog-friendly throughout.
- RSPB Snettisham: 10 minutes south — knot murmuration, pink-footed geese, grey seal colony
- RSPB Titchwell Marsh: 10 minutes east — UK’s most visited RSPB reserve
- Sandringham Estate: 10 minutes south — Royal residence, house, gardens, museum, country park
- Norfolk Lavender, Heacham: 5 minutes south — 100 acres of lavender in July
- Hunstanton town: 5 minutes — fish and chips, watersports, amusements
Site 2: Holme-next-the-Sea — The Nature Reserve Edge
Holme-next-the-Sea sits on the boundary of the Wild Ken Hill rewilding project, with the King Charles III England Coast Path running through the site boundary. Pitches look directly out over rewilded grassland where white-tailed eagles are increasingly regular.
- NWT Holme Dunes: 5 minutes walk — coastal rarity site, beach access year-round
- Wild Ken Hill: on site boundary — rewilding project, 2,600+ recorded species
- RSPB Titchwell Marsh: 10 minutes east
- Holme Beach: 5 minutes walk — dog-friendly year-round
- Thornham and Brancaster corridor: 15 minutes east — Thornham Deli, White Horse gastropub, Brancaster Beach
Site 3: Holt Woodland — The Inland Option
The Holt Woodland site sits in lakeside woodland 12 miles inland from the North Norfolk coast. For tourers who want a different landscape from the coast — trees, a lake, real quiet — Holt provides it. Pitches among trees with full hookup. Dogs welcome.
- Byfords of Holt: 12 minutes — destination deli and café, one of North Norfolk’s best
- Sheringham Park (National Trust): 10 miles — one of the finest NT landscapes in East Anglia
- Felbrigg Hall (National Trust): 12 miles — 17th-century house, woodland walks, walled garden
- The Pigs at Edgefield (PIGSPA): 10 minutes — spa pub, nationally recognised
- North Norfolk Railway (Poppy Line): Sheringham to Holt — heritage steam railway runs to Holt station itself
Site 4: Thetford — The Forest Stage
The Go Wild site at Thetford is a 40-acre pitch at the edge of Thetford Forest — the UK’s largest lowland forest at 18,730 hectares. Go Ape is on the doorstep. High Lodge is a short walk. Forest Live concerts in June are walkable from the pitch. Dogs welcome throughout.
- Go Ape Thetford (original location): on site doorstep — high ropes, zip wire, Nets Adventure
- High Lodge Thetford: short walk — cycling hire, walking trails, café, SUP on Lynford Water
- Forest Live concerts (June): walkable from pitch — McFly, Fatboy Slim, Snow Patrol, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, UB40 (2026 lineup)
- Thetford town: 5 minutes — Thomas Paine heritage trail, Dad’s Army Museum, ruined priory
- Peddars Way National Trail: starts near Thetford — 46-mile Roman road north to Holme-next-the-Sea

Norfolk as a Touring Destination: The Honest Assessment
Norfolk is a flat county. The roads are largely good. The distances are manageable. The attractions are spread reasonably across the county without requiring long driving days between stops. The food — particularly on the North Norfolk coast — is excellent. The coast road in North Norfolk is among the finest scenic drives in England.
The challenges: summer traffic on the A149 coast road between Cromer and Wells is heavy in July and August. Parking at popular locations (Holkham, Blakeney, Cley) is limited and fills early. Fuel in rural North Norfolk is expensive.
The advantages over other UK touring regions: no significant hills, an unusually high density of genuinely excellent birdwatching sites within a small geographic area, and a quality of light that photographers specifically travel for. For a two-week touring circuit with two or three nights at each mYminiBreak site, Norfolk delivers more genuine variety per mile than almost anywhere in England.
